I had a tech recruiter reach out from a bay area company that wants to expand and create a dev team in my town. I'm entertaining the guy because I know this company pays bay area salaries and I wouldn't have to move. It's not wrong to hear them out right?

I like my current company and wasn't really planning on leaving for a few years but I'm not sure my company (still in start-up mode) would match a SF/Bay Area tech salary for my level of software engineer. I get paid well but it's not one of those 6 figure salaries you see from Silicon Valley. Any advice from guys that have done this? Preferably software engineers.
