program this fall. I'm transitioning from sales to marketing. About two years ago, I started working for a 10ish person tech startup and I quickly realized it wasn't a fit. I'm giving my resume an overhaul and trying to include 2-3 bullet points that highlight my accomplishments for each position I've held, and being in sales it's generally easy to find specific numbers to provide that showcase those accomplishments.
My four months with this company was a bust. It didn't work out at all. I've had a good amount of success at positions both immediately before and immediately after being with that company, but I'm wondering how I should handle that in my resume. I'm considering completely omitting it from my resume altogether. I did have a side business I worked on periodically for a good 18 months or so, including during that time. I could make it seem as though I was focusing on that side business while exploring new opportunities I suppose.
Thoughts?
