Anyone else watching “Grant” on History Channel? It’s a pretty good documentary,
IMO, about Ulysses S. Grant. It’s a 3-part miniseries; the first two parts aired yesterday and today. The guy had an interesting life, with plenty of ups and downs.
He was living in near-poverty as a civilian when the Civil War broke out and gave him an opportunity to snap out of his funk. I can’t imagine that anyone could have guessed at the time that he would become POTUS some day.
