Btw, by “easy to run”, I mean that the cable is thin and flexible, and since it’s low voltage, you don’t have the same
requirements for retention and bracing as lines carrying mains voltage. And you can splice or terminate them anywhere, whether in a low voltage junction box (basically just a frame to attach a wall plate to) or not.

You still need a path to get the wire down there, so that will probably involve drilling a hole or 2.
