I would call BS on that. Here's what you do: Ask for his requirements. Not that it be hardwired ethernet. What is his
upload/download speed requirements. Then test your wifi speeds to see how they match up.

I just did a test. I have Comcast with Google wifi. My PC is hardwired into the Google Wifi which acts as the router. It is then directly cabled to the Comcast which acts as a bridge. I did two tests. Here are the results.

- PC - hardwired - Download = 320 Mbps; Upload is 10.6 Mbps
- From my Android phone via Google Wifi - Download = 303 Mbps; Upload = 11 Mbps.

Not worth the expense to do cable work. Just invest in a network mesh device and provide the same service he says he needs.
