Depends. If you want to take good photos of the moon. Can be comparatively cheap
You could Spend maybe 100-200 bucks on a used DSLR camera (that you could use for normal life too) and maybe 300 or 400 for the telescope and mount. You can even just use your cell phone camera for some photos (that moon photo I posted was from my cell phone).

If you want to take pictures of what are called deep sky objects (DSOs) that are the pretty colored cloud like things (sorry if you already knew that, don't know how to describe them really) you'll want a MUCH better mount, probably 800 bare minimum (but could be as much as 3000 or more), telescope of maybe 600-1200 (but could be as much as 6000 or more), and then a mono camera w filters for 500 or more (but can get into multiple thousands).

Someday I'll be buying a telescope and mount, a permanent building, super expensive camera. Wife agreed to it already, but I don't think she really knows how much I'm going to spend.... 🙂

The photos I posted are with a 1200 telescope/mount, and a 250 DSLR (with maybe 200 in accesories).
