You can decide if it’s a fake narrative. I have been following Mac for years
My son found him on YouTube.
I live in Virginia and found his sudden rise fascinating. Went to see him play live once in high school and several times at Georgetown, since I live in the area.
I am not a Mac expert by any stretch, but I know more about him than most CBers, and have a longer perspective on what he has accomplished.
A lot of people are blaming Patrick Ewing for Georgetown losing literally half of their basketball roster to transfers/legal issues. But the “inside scoop” is that it was as much of a Mac problem as it was a Ewing problem at Georgetown.
Call that a fake anecdote if you want to...
