Most fans have lottle circuit breakers in them.
Check the size of your lights.. smaller wattage bulb might be sufficient.

Not yet. I took the capacitor out but it made the fan run slow even when on high

You should do a full audit of your breaker box.

There is a breeze button on the remote turn it off.
