Don't feel compelled to pull an all-nighter the first night.

Go home and get some good sleep. The nurses will take care of your wife while she's learning to breastfeed and waking up every 2 hours that first night. You'll probably be a way better companion the next day if you aren't a zombie and nodding off in the corner of the hospital room.
