I was born in 57 and remember those years and they were more turbulent. Racism
was far worse and the grievances were clearer. In my lifetime the KKK has been reduced to a very small number, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 helped reduce workplace discrimination Jim Crow laws are gone, you rarely hear the N word anymore, no more segregated eating or transportation, affirmative action has been enacted and yielded change (the Obamas are Exhibit A of AA), far fewer people go without food today. I could go on. I am tired of the usual accusations and generalized platitudes to communicate and listen better. Concrete actions and plans are nonexistent from both sides of the aisle (except maybe an action to weed out the few bad apples in police forces who commit brutality). The complaints are more nebulous today because things racially are significantly better than several decades ago. Somebody needs to provide actionable plans, or we'll all be left scratching our heads listening to angry complaints with no way to address them.
