My wife received a summons to respond to a complaint. It says she has a delinquent line if credit that is 4 years past due. The problem is we have no idea who the original creditor is and we never had the stated credit card. This is the first we've heard if it - never receiving statements or notices or anything before this summons.

My question is what do we do. Where can we find the information about this account and who do we talk to? I imagine we need to get a lawyer but short of googling one I don't know where to start.

Any help would be appreciated.
