Negotiating a Step increase with the Federal Government

Good morning friends,

I have been selected and accepted a for a GS-12 job and the government is now awaiting my justification for a step increase.... I have a military reserve back ground coming from the private sector to the federal government. I have many friends who have gone from Fed job to Fed job and that is one step to another step.....

I am at 2 pages now... should it be longer? Shorter?

Anyone have experience on this? Any thoughts or insights....
