NBA will come back with 22 teams. 8 more regular season games. Play-in tourney for 8 seed.
If 9 seed is 4 or more games back, no play-in tournament. If fewer than 4 games, tournament includes single elimination for 9 seed and double elimination for 8 seed.

16 current playoff teams added by New Orleans, Portland, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Antonio, and Washington.
