In regards to discipline this generation (which I am a part of) does not have
discipline to save money. There is very much an attitude of YOLO, FOMO and treat yo' self that leads to spending on things that aren't needed.

There are many college students who are using their student loans to eat out every night, vacation, buy new clothes/phones, go on a study abroad, etc. They then graduate with an insane amount of debt and then complain about it.

I have no sympathy for them. School is expensive, but you can do what I did (and soooo many others) work throughout school, eat at home, don't go on trips, bust your butt to get scholarships, choose a major with good job prospects, choose a cheap school, etc. It's hard, but not impossible if you are disciplined.
