Yup, if you are a mountain biker or something it's an excellent choice. Although based on cursory observation around
the campgrounds in Moab it seems many of the hikers/climbers/bikers have also moved on from Subarus to 4Runners.
But the RAV4 will give you a significant MPG advantage over the larger truck.

I'd love a Moab review and less mus in a 4x4 park. He mentions the clearance but it doesn't sound like he tested it.
