We showed up at the hotel and it had a front desk that looked like a pawn shop window in a big city. Just as we start talking and she takes my ID she looks at a security camera and says “oh ——“ and runs out.
We watch on the security camera as this brawl is going on somewhere, with a man beating a woman badly and lots of others jumping in. 4 police arrive and break through the security door and go up and join in the melee. Several people come downstairs who look like classic meth addicts.
Meanwhile my ID is just out if reach under the bullet proof glass. My poor wife by this time is scared to death. The person at the desk comes back and I say we are not staying here and she says “there’s issues.”
So we are at a better place but 45 mins later still trying to cancel the reservation.
