If he gets released from his NLI he can play immediately. If he doesn't he has
to sit out.
This is what happened with Joe Tukuafu and Utah State.

Would Lohner have to sit out a year? I'm assuming no since this is an LOI

Got it. So depends on how big of a jerk Coach K wants to be.

It's not good for Coach K either way. He either just loses a potential star

80K hasn't done the 'right thing' in the past. Not seeing it in this situation.

One consideration is Wasatch Academy. If he doesn't release him, does that

As long as he hasn't attended classes yet, he shouldn't have to. But if he's not granted a release, I'm not sure he's

So if $80k doesn't release him, doesn't that tie up a scholly at the u for next yr? Why would $80k do that?

Short lived "victory" of $80k denying Lohner's desire to leave and costing him $$ while he smugly makes the big bucks

No, it would not, because he wouldn't be on scholarship at the U. He wouldn't

He could do it out of spite. Plus, he's losing 2 other players–3 scholarships

Once you sign, you need a release.
