last Finals run and how "no one was on that team. He drug that team through the East".
So, here's the other players on that team: A young Jordan Clarkson, George Hill, Kyle Korver, Kevin Love, Jeff Green, Rodney Hood, JR Smith (who gets a bad rap for being stupid in that one game, but he's a solid sg), and Tristan Thompson. That's a SOLID team. A ton of veterans with two young guys who can ball (albeit Rodney had a problem with consistency).
No one else was a superstar, but those are solid role players. A ton of shooting around him, solid centers, a couple playmakers, and some good solid defense.
Compare that to the teams they played:
Pacers: Bojan, Oladipo (a baby one), a 3rd year Sabonis, Lance Stephenson, 3rd year Myles Turner, Thaddeus Young, and Darren Collison. I have no idea who the other people are on the team. Went to 7.
Raptors: Kyle Lowry, Derozan (who is traaaash!), Jonas Valunciunas, Sophomore Fred VanVleet, Jakob Poeltl, CJ Miles, and a baby Siakam. Who's going to play defense there?
Celtics: Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Al Horford, Terry Rozier. I'm leaving off Kyrie and Hayward because they were hurt and out. While this team, on paper is good, the chemistry was really, really broken and 3 of those guys were rookies or sophomores, with Smart being in his 4th year. So again, not super tough to beat because there was no leader and minimal experience outside of Horford.
In all, that's an insane misrepresentation of that Cavs team, propogated by Bron and the media. How dare he not have another bona fide, top 20 superstar to work with?! That clearly means the rest of the team is gargabe!
