I think with Pope and Staff we might be able to sieze an incredible opportunity

Let's review...I haven't heard anyone talking about the weak the Pac12. The Pac12 is, and has been, down for years. The last few years Oregon has been good, but you no longer see UCLA, Arizona or Stanford as part of the dominant class of teams in the NC2A. Washington had a year or two earlier this decade...but the Pac12 is not what it used to be. Gonzaga IS the BIG name on the West Coast and there is no one currently out West (including the entire Pac12) that can deny the Cougars from stepping up right behind (or heaven forbid) right next to the Zags.

That's the opportunity right before us and I believe it is there for the taking. We already have the right Coach and Staff, now we need to be THE destination for all of the top LDS talent in the U.S. and let Pope and Staff go to work on filling out the roster with the best players they can get. Don't get me wrong, we will not be competing with the Blue Bloods (i.e. NC, Duke, KU...) for the 5 and high 4 star talent, but we can compete for the rest and maybe pick-off a couple of disgruntled 5 and 4 stars in the transfer portal.

As others have said, we (fans) have no control over what conference we are in, but lets demand through our enthusiam, attendence and donations that whatever conference we are in we are in the hunt to win the Conference Title every year. We CAN do that!

I believe we have caught "lightning in a bottle" with Pope and Staff - I believe we should get behind them and give them the strong tailwind they need and deserve!
