You can go from South Mapleton to the split of east and west forks of Hobble Creek (just east of the golf course)

Jordan River, Murdock, and Provo canyon trails are probably the longest trails

Few people continue the Provo canyon trail down to Utah Lake which is a lot nicer than I expected.
