Was watching the Miracle Bowl at my girlfriend's house in Provo. Her dad was as
straight laced as they come-- bishop, Stake President, Mission President, Professor at BYU. Very quiet, cerebral, etc.
Just at the darkest moment he turns to me and says the the most matter-of-fact, quiet voice "I just think the Lord doesn't give a #&%$ about BYU football".
When we won, he didn't cheer. He fell to his knees and wept. I think he was repenting.
