Got hit by a car last year - here’s a few medical bill highlights
$2k for a two block ambulance ride
$15k for the emergency room visit that lasted 3 hours
$15k for one night in the hospital
5k for a round of scans and tests 2 months later.
Some were reduced when my health insurance Company stepped in to negotiate but IHC is not budging on some of the larger bills. They want it all. I’m not seeing much flexibility or discounts.
Easily the most screwed up pricing system known to man. Should standardize prices and it should be the same regardless of who pays. The fact that they start at some astronomical number and discount based on who is paying is a joke.

That's crazy. I took my son to the ER a couple weeks ago because I was worried about appendicitis and our overall charge
