I have gotten onboard with the idea that there could and should be a government run healthcare network with orgs run
by the states or federal government that are specifically for government health plan/Medicaid/non-payers. This would be apart from the general private medicine industry. Everyone that believes that health care is a right can use a system where there is going to be long wait times and great health care...but not cutting edge programs.
Australia currently runs a hybrid of this type of system and it works pretty well.
