I received an academic scholarship to BYU

I chose to go elsewhere. Growing up in Utah, I did not feel it was really necessary for me to attend BYU. I felt that it was better suited for out of state members. My high school was 90% members. BYU is a great institution, but we don’t need to pretend that the only ones that don’t go there are the ones who don’t qualify academically or don’t want to follow the honor code. This is coming from a lifetime fan of BYU.
