Back in Dec of 2017 I was having a discussion with my wife and daughter about Bitcoin and I was explaining (to the best I could) what it was and how it worked. Bitcoin value was riding high at the time. As an experiment and case study with my daughter, I bought $50 worth of Bitcoin (my wife said I should put in $1,000). Bitcoin almost immediately tanked, and at one point my $50 investment was reduced to $8.50. I check in on it every few months, and today I see that I'm almost halfway back at $23.18
