I know a situation where
the spouse had a $50,000 credit card balance. She was able to get her own card. None of charges were for joint benefit.

Husband had to pay half.

I understand equality and wife can get card without husband

But wouldn't women who want equal rights insist she pay off her own card.

I don't want to hi-jack your thread. Just saying you might still not get equal treatment.
