Pressing pause an hour into Hamilton just to say...
...it’s amazing. I saw it in the theater a few years ago when it came to SLC, without knowing the music or the story yet. It was good and I enjoyed it but wasn’t something that was unforgettable. But then I bought the soundtrack and fell in love with the music from the original cast and always regretted not being able to see the production with the original cast.
Hamilton is flawless. Seeing it on Disney+ with the sound turned way up, and the close ups of their faces is quite the experience. Lin Manuel is brilliant. Pure genius. The degree of difficulty of what he strings together through rap, song, and sound is remarkable.
Excited for the remaining 2 hours.
