Look into the Kia Telluride. Seriously. Decent third row leg room.
We were going to get one earlier this year, but then covid hit and it didn't feel like the right time to buy a car.
We will also have our minivan for road trips and carpooling, but when we want to tow something, get up the canyon for skiing, etc., we'll have the Telluride.
At this point I'm probably holding out till the new mode comes out and I can get a good used one.

That's the biggest downfall of switching to SUV. If you still have kids, I'd stick with minivan. Can't beat
