I knew Independence would bite us in the butt eventually.

Not being in a conference is simply unsustainable for BYU. I don't think you can completely blame the pandemic for what's happened in the last couple of days. This was bound to happen. It was only a matter of time. The pandemic merely accelerated the timetable.
