I picked up a pork butt the other day that I'm planning on smoking this Sunday. I've only smoked a pork butt once before (the week I got the pellet grill) and just used a rub I had lying around that house that was ok but not really what I'd prefer. I've since picked up the "Pork Star" rub from the BBQ pit stop that I've used on rib since then which is really good. I could use that for the pork butt as well, but is there another spice rub I should look at getting instead? My brother uses "Bad Byrons Butt Rub". Any other recommendations? Tips are also appreciated.
