Into 2 characters. Storylines are fairly different but I liked how you could tell how storylines could have worked out if Sanderson wanted to. The biggest difference is the main group of enemies in WOK is nonexistent. All conflict is within the human kingdoms. I would definitely read all his other books first, but if you have done that it is definitely worth reading
