They’ll find a way to play...whether it’s mid-Sept or even an October start. They need the TV money so they’ll play with no fans if they have to and other leagues have already proven that possible. No contracts or buyouts to deal with like with non-conference games and the ability to adjust their schedule to move their conference games fairly easily is a huge advantage.

We’re still on the outside looking in and this will be devastating to our sports program if we can’t find a solution. There is safety in conference membership and we’re getting completely burned by a necessary decision made 9 years ago.

Im concerned that the MWC or AAC now have the majority of the leverage so they won’t accept us for just a year (us without leverage, story of our recent lives). I think we’ll likely have to sign a multi-year contract for them to let us in this year.

We’re in a terrible spot and I wish we had a conference tie-in similar to ND to fall back on. Hindsight’s 20/20 I know but geez this could be bad for us.
