I don't know. People still love going to the movies.
I think there's something special about the movie theater experience.
Recently I saw Jaws and Raiders of the Lost Ark in the theater. I'd already seen those 2 movies a million times before, but there was something really cool and unique about seeing them on the big screen.
I think the movie theater is far from dead, though you can definitely make an argument that it's no longer in its golden age.
