Another year of eligibility for scholarship players would create the same type
of logjam that would have occurred with basketball. The question arises regarding allowing a do-over for only seniors or all players.
With anywhere from 15 to 25 recruits coming in next year, the 85 scholarship limit would need to
be raised to +/-110, to account for holdovers. The fall of 2021, a team would have the holdover seniors, but have two sets of freshmen. Incoming and Holdover.
The following year, a new group of freshman, you would have three groups of freshmen from an experience standpoint.
Doesn’t seem workable.
