which was a fun show IMO. The guy was a great engineer but had the personality to match. Was a good actor in front of the camera, but was amazing (hearing from others in the industry) behind the camera doing Special effects and visual effects on a number of blockbuster movies. He also designed and built the beloved Geoff Petersen Robot on The Craig Ferguson Show.
Still, some of my favorite videos that I watched him in which delved a little more into his personality was when he appeared on Will Wheaton's TableTop shows to play board games. Seemed like such a down to earth fun guy to be around. The type of dude I would have hung out with during College and then remained good friends post.
Such a sudden and sad way to go, he was only 5 years older than me. A reminder of how precious life can be, and how quickly it can end. RIP Grant.
