considering pulling out kids out of public school completely. Our district doesn't have a clue what it's doing this fall and has already defaulted to all online learning. On top of that, with all the BLM craze, we only expect the teachers union to push for an even more liberal curriculum. We've decided it's not the environment we want to send our kids back to. Problem is, there is no one size fits all solution for each kid.
For the high schooler, we are looking at the BYU online high school option
For the middle school kid, BYU has middle school classes, but it isn't a formal program. She's the one we are having the hardest time figuring out.
For the elementary student, we are looking at possibly putting him in one of the local private religious schools. Our choices are 2 non-denominational christian schools or a catholic school.
Outside of that, we aren't sure what other options there are. Developing a full blown home school curriculum seems like too daunting of a task. If anyone has any recommendations, I'd love to hear.
