Volunteers, no matter how effective or ineffective, only deserve appreciation. If you want your kids to improve take them to the batting cages, rebound for them in the driveway, etc. If you want them to play a certain position, practice those skills with them to a point where the coach has no choice but to play them at that spot. We do our kids a disservice by complaining or acting like entitled children ourselves.
