I had a kids grandpa yell at me last year (from the other team)
6th graders, playoff baseball game. He was their best hitter, 2 runners on with 2 outs. The night before I had watched him rip a line drive off the best pitcher in the league.

I intentionally walked him to get to a weaker hitter who was on deck. 🙂 The grandpa got all mad yelling at me "this isn't the major leagues". I just smiled and let it go. Funny thing is I was friends with the other team's coach. He even chuckled and told me he totally understood what I was trying to do given my team was shorthanded.

I wish I could say the gamble worked and we got the next guy out, but we walked him too (not on purpose), and then the next hitter got a base hit, driving in 2 runs, but it was worth a shot in a game where we were missing 2 of our best players.
