Elk, mule deer, and antelope hunter needing a high-quality spotting scope. I'm willing (wife doesn't know this yet) to spend $1,500, but if I can get a great scope for less than $1K, I'd do that and stay out of the doghouse for a while.
I'm not a serious trophy hunter--I like the idea of big antlers, but finding animals is more important than counting points on a rack, if you know what I mean. I have a pair of Vortex Kaibab 18x56 binos that I like, but I feel like I need a good spotter to really dial in when glassing long range.
Any thoughts?
