So last year, there was a group of us that did several Dietbet challenges to lose weight and improve our health. It was a great motivator for me and I ended up losing a decent amount of weight through it. Unfortunately I didn't keep up with it and have gained a chunk of that back. I am hoping to start up another round and want to invite anybody who is interested to join.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Dietbet: it's an app/website where people put up a certain amount of money for a weight loss challenge. If you meet the group's weight loss goal (a certain percentage of body weight lost) then you split the pot of money with everybody else who achieved the goal. So you get at least the amount of money back that you put up front, so long as you meet the goal.

In the past we have done a weight loss goal of 4% body weight over 4 weeks and have made the amount to play $10. I'm open to suggestions, but thought this was a decent amount. It's a small enough amount that it isn't the end of the world if you don't meet the goal, but enough that it's motivating to keep up with weight loss. Please comment on this thread if you are interested in joining (or send me a boardmail). I haven't set up the game yet but will do so once I know there's enough interest here. I'll post a link that will let you join the game once it's been set up. We'll shoot to start sometime this week.
