Take this for what it’s worth— I won’t be able to give too many details in an attempt to not out my source and close off all new information but this is what I know from talking to a source last night.

Apparently all of the Power 5 schools except for 3 really like BYU and want BYU to be included. There is currently one school who is actively trying to block BYU from being included. The other two kinda sorta like BYU.

BYU has been very busy looking at several different angles in order to explore their options. Some of these ideas and pursuits are very progressive and could turn out really well for BYU athletics. Other ideas may not work out as well but they are still solid options.

Either way, I’ve been told that BYU is not sitting on their hands— they are actively engaged in making sure that BYU Football is going to be ok. From what I was told, this could end up being really exciting times for BYU athletics but things can change— the situation is still pretty fluid.
