I think you proved my point.
So, let’s say Mr and Mrs Major Donor own a large business and donate millions to University B. Someone comes out and says, “Hey look, this business is donating to University B who is supportive of BYU. Let’s boycott that business.“
Then a phone call comes, “Hey, I’m going to stop donating cuz I don’t want this bad press for my business.”
Yes, BYU brings lots of eyes but not enough to outweigh the negative press.
Obviously this is just my opinion but I feel like I have history on my side that things don’t usually turn out well for BYU when it comes to CFB.
