When do people decide to move away from Utah? At what point is it not worth it?
Go try and make it work somewhere cheaper and or a better salary as well. Come for a week in the summer and over the holidays if you have to.

I have a friend who graduated from dental school in the midwest. Of his 5 lds friends they are the only ones who didn't try to make it work in Utah. I guess this is a different issue but somewhat related. These other families are having a hard time even paying their student loans. Many are living with family etc.

A lot of the appeal of Utah in the 70's,80's 90's etc was cheap cost of living, live with like minded people. Live by relatives. Outdoor recreation and skiiing that isn't very crowded. These things are not a thing anymore. At one point is it not worth the cost?
