We are hardly rich, but really haven’t had many issues with Utah’s prices. We have a quaint and modest home in a suburban neighborhood full of young and growing families. Prices and opportunities don’t seem too much different from when I lived in Colorado.
But there’s a pretty good amount of individuals in extremely lavish homes up on the benches, and I’m really not sure how some of them are affording it up there. The demographics from some of them don’t look too far different, but their amount of possessions and the comfort level of their housing is very different.
Most of Utah is not unaffordable. You just have to choose somewhere you can afford.
