This is the real reason odds of playing CFB are shrinking.
The logistics of contact tracing and quarantining at the CDC-recommended levels are a nightmare in a college (or high school) sports environment.
Player safety, etc. is just the PR window dressing. Even the red-state conferences that can pull it off politically are probably going to hit a brick wall pretty quickly when the positive tests start rolling in during the season.
