Yeah, I'm starting to realize that
Our sacrifices have surely slowed down the spread, which did buy us valuable time (to better understand the virus, improve health care, etc.), but overall, it's been poorly managed. Not just here, but across the country. In hindsight, I think it would have been better to simply have a goal of not exceeding hospital capacity. Trying to drive case counts to zero is simply not possible and not worth all the economic, social, and mental health issues.
