2 seam is consistent low 70's with heavy movement.
In fact he will usually just throw that over and over. He will mix in a 3 finger change up and slider to keep their timing off but movement is so good it already throws hitters off.
His biggest issue is arm delivery. His nickname is slingshot for a reason. Because of the pressure it puts on his elbow we have to limit his pitch count to about 40 a game and realistically 80 a weekend. So he used a lot in middle relief or closing games out and not as a starter.
I should add he is a young (may birthday) 8th grader. So he usually plays down in baseball. He is playing 13u through spring while most the kids will play 14u.
