RE: 2 seam is consistent low 70's with heavy movement.
My 6th grader throws it well too. 11.75 years old. 5’1” and about 95 lbs. Fastest kid around our neck of the woods.
Plays SS, CF, and catcher. Throws 61-63 off the mound. Has a legit knuckle curve, and just started throwing a “chop change” that BYU’s former pitching coach taught him. Tries to throw a 2 seamer but let’s just say it’s a work in progress.
Hits the ball really well, hits lead off for us.
Man I love baseball. Good luck to your kid, a very minor speed bump in the grand scheme of things.
