We don't anymore. Our new place came with all appliances, and we stupidly sold the Speed Queen. Huge regret.

If it stinks then you are using too much soap and not maintaining it.

Good point. Front-loaders use about half the soap of top-loaders. Not sure why.

It might be because of the agitator. They typically have a post agitator still. The HE washers use a little nub.
