So I'm basically, "weak, spineless, and a man of temptations"
one of my biggest of which is pie (there are just few things in this world I enjoy more than a slice of hot cherry or apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side).

On my recent birthday, I asked for pie instead of cake. Since my wife doesn't like making pie, I asked her to just pick up an apple pie from Costco.

Other than a good homemade pie, this is about the next best thing (although, they sadly appear to have gone away from the lattice crust), especially for the money as the thing is huge (it provides at least a dozen good-sized slices).

I'm proud to say that I ate one piece on my birthday last Sunday and then didn't touch it thereafter. Meanwhile, my wife (who claims she doesn't much care for pie) ate two pieces, and my teenage son ate the rest (he finished the last piece last night).

In any event, it took a lot of willpower for me to continually look at that thing throughout the week and not eat any more of it.

That being said, over Thanksgiving weekend, I'm, of course, having as much pie as I want.
